TGIF Business Networking Hangout – Hangouts, Hangouts on Air, and Video Marketing

This episode of the TGIF Business Networking Hangout is all about using Google+ Hangouts on Air (HOA)  to create and host your own show, and how you can then use the resulting HOA videos as rich source material for other content to use in marketing your business!

Google+ HOAs are a powerful and free way for people to create their own shows which are then broadcast live on YouTube, and which can be embedded into their web sites. Although we specifically addressed using Hangouts and Hangouts on Air, the concept applies to any videos you have in your library.

The TGIF Business Networking Hangout  is a perfect example of this process:

1. The TGIF Business Networking Hangout is produced using Google+ Hangouts on Air. I host this show for small business owners and entrepreneurs twice a month, live.

2. It is broadcast live on YouTube. I use the video embed code to also embed the live video feed into the Google+ Event listing that I created to promote the show.  I also use it to embed the show into my website, and to then post my web site page to FB, Twitter, etc to encourage people to watch it from my web site, where they will hopefully take a look around at all the other great resources I offer here.

3. After the show is over, I can use it as source material for short video clips, photos, or audio which I can use in my marketing efforts.  Here is an example of a short TGIF Tip clip that I created using this full episode as my source material. I can now use that short clip to post around and show my target market that the TGIF Business Networking Hangout is a great resource for marketing strategy tips and advice.

This is also called repurposing your content, which means using already created content in new ways which will benefit your business.

Sponsorship Opportunities Available!

I don’t charge guests to be on the show, and I don’t charge for the show. When Hangouts and then Hangouts on Air came out I just wanted to create a fun small business networking show that would help me and the participants reach out to each other and network face-to-face no matter where we are in the world!  I spend a lot of time and effort to create a useful resource for my audience, and any donations or sponsorships to help support TGIF are greatly appreciated 🙂
